Auburn Hills is home to multiple educational institutions. Their local school districts serve sections of Auburn Hills. They are Avondale School District, Pontiac School District and Rochester Community Schools. The R Grant Elementary School and Auburn Elementary School are under the Avondale School District. The Will Rogers Elementary School is under the Pontiac School District. It’s also home to institutions of higher learning like Oakland University which handles more than 18,000 students. The Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine partnered with Beaumont Hospitals is open now to serve students. Baker College is the largest independent college in the entire state of Michigan. Oakland Community College, a central Michigan University extension center, also takes in students. Also worth mentioning is the famed Thomas Cooley Law School.

Fanuc building another facility

Global supplier of industrial robots FANUC America Corporation has announced it will build a new $51 million facility in Auburn Hills. The 461,525 square-foot industrial facility is an expansion of the company’s Americas headquarters campus in Auburn Hills and Rochester Hills, according to the city’s development blog. A subsidiary of FANUC Corp. in Japan, FANUC America houses around 1,400 employees in North and South America. Read more here

River Woods Park in Auburn Hills, MI

The Riverwoods Park is located on the halfway point of the Clinton River. It has a wooded trail for experienced hikers. For nature enthusiasts, it has paved paths, a boardwalk and a lot of benches along the river. One can also cross the bridge over the river. You can choose to rent the modern picnic shelter. It has restrooms and even a fireplace. Picnic tables are also plenty around the shelter. There are play structures for children which has a climbing wall. People can also play basketball on their basketball courts. It’s proximity to the Auburn Hills Skate Park makes it a place worth visiting. Riverwoods Park is located on Squirrel Road which is north of Auburn Road.
